The fruit of cumin, an umbelliferous plant (umbrella-shaped), is crushed
to deliver a finely ground powder which gives a characteristic flavor
to dishes, particularly sauces, pickles, and red or white meat.
To be used with pickled fish, chicken, shellfish, rice, turn-overs,
lamb / beef stews, pork, lamb, grilled goat, meatballs, hamburgers,
chickpeas, lentils.
